Claudia Chaseling (*1973 in Munich, lives and works in Berlin) will develop the expansive, pitoresque installation "It Goes Deeper" for her exhibition at 45cbm, the new studio space of the Staatliche Kunsthalle Baden-Baden. With this site-specific work, the artist addresses to the antagonist relationship between cosmos and chaos. While the first is commonly understood as orderly and decorative, the latter is linked with disorder and discomposure. She creates an amorphous system made of complex, painted structures, post cards and sculptures that is reminiscent of a swirl of cosmic visions that prompt visitors to orient themselves anew and find new focus.

Curated by Johannes Honeck.
